Tofu is like a weird dress or a pair of yellow boots: Some people love it, others can not stand it. And the ones who love it repeatedly say: If you just combine it in a nice way, it is a pleasant surprise!
Let me tell you that: My tofu recipe ist that coat, that makes yellow boots look super cool! It is very simple, tastes great and is also pretty inexpensive! The whole preparation takes me around five minutes and the result did not disappoint any of my friends yet!
I love my fried tofu with pasta, rice or next to a fresh salad with sesame seeds. My friend tried them on a sandwich accompanied by baby spinach and really liked the combination!
Mix peanut butter (I use 100 percent peanut butter without added oil or salt) with agave syrup, curry powder and soy sauce. Whisk the ingredients together with a fork. If necessary add a bit of water. The sauce is supposed to resemble very thick syrup.
Cut the tofu into cubes and fry them in a pan with neutral oil (sunflower, coconut). Wait, until it starts to look slightly toasted. Add the sauce and stir the tofu for around 30 seconds, until the sauce starts to stick to the tofu. Take the tofu off the heat immediately and serve it with rice, salad or homemade chapati bread!
